The Research Center or Automation (RCA) was found in May 1992. The RCA has 50 staffs, more than 8 million Yuan as the assets and covers a laboratory area of 1,500 square meters. The RCA has Master and Ph.D. programs in electrical engineering and accepts postdoctoral fellows. Now the RCA is authorized to become Automation Engineering Techniques Center of Liaoning Province. The RCA has set up academic exchange and cooperation relations with universities and research institutes in the USA, Australia and other countries.

By now a total of postdoctoral, 21 Ph.D. and 73 M.D. have graduated by the National Natural Science Foundation and other foundations (amount of 1.5 million Yuan) .The number of papers on the research “adaptive control theory and its application” and “modeling and control for complex industrial processes,” published in the international or domestic authorized journals and conferences, ranks first in China. The RCA conducts key scientific for developing projects assigned by the State, and has the ability of design, Implementation and employee training of major automation engineering projects of industrial processes. The REC also conducts projects of computer industrial application, computer network engineering, management information system and computer aided design, etc. Now the RCA is taking part in the national “Eighth Five-year Plan” and “Torch Program” automation projects. The total turnover of the RCA also has developed two main series products of adaptive controller and intelligent combustion controller. The future RCA will take the goal of industrialization, internationalization and ranking research center in the world.
